||
|
We are appealing for information after a man was racially abusive and spat at staff at a shop in Newcastle-under-Lyme. We were called shortly before 11am on Monday (2 February) to the store on Liverpool Road. A man had been verbally abusive to staff in the store before spitting at them as he was escorted out. Officers have reviewed CCTV footage and are releasing an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident. The man is described as white, with short brown hair and facial stubble. He was wearing a blue/green and cream coat over a beige-coloured hoodie and dark-coloured trousers with North Face branded sliders. Anyone who recognises this man or has relevant information should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 223 of 2 February. To report anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
